Hiking Fat Man's Loop

One day I explored the great outdoors near Flagstaff with some friends from work. I'm really big into hiking, but one of my friends really wanted to introduce me to a bit of the outdoor wonders near Flagstaff. So, if you also don't enjoy really long, strenuous hikes, then this is a good hiking option for you!

In the morning we all drove out to Fat Man's Loop. It was a fairly nice day in Flagstaff.. not too cold, not too warm, and no precipitation. Fat Man's Loop is not far outside Flagstaff and can be easily reached by car. The hike uphill is not very steep and the whole hike is only about 2.5 miles or 4 kilometers. There were very nice views of Flagstaff at the top and beautiful flora could be seen all along the hike.

It's very easy to find the hiking spot. All you need to do is head towards Flagstaff mall. Drive past the mall and on the left side of the street you should see a trailhead parking lot. A sign should read "Mt. Elden Trailhead." From there just keep your eye out for signs indicating the Fat Man Loop trail.
