The little girl that dreamed in became a teacher is now graduated and looking for the most gratifying, improbable and enriching experiences. I'm graduated in pre-school and primary, since 2019 and my eagerness for knowledge, exploring the world, see diferent points of view, criticies, and adapting, was in my spirit from the first day of masters. During the studies I didn't have the oportunity to do Erasmus but traveling around the world was a constant for me, So the fact of knowing different cultures and ways of thinking always pushed for me and for my thoughts. Doing a intership in another country, it was from de begining of masterdegree a possibility, the question was: in which country?
DENMARK was the answer.
This beautiful north country, is a fundamental piece in education. The contact with the nature, with the importance of playing, the different education and the hapiness of the professionals, call me to this place. I realy want to see the "most happiness people in the world" (Alvim, 2018). But let's talk about education in Denmark.
The educational sistem is divided in three fases: 0-9th grade (Folkeskolen) ; 10th to 12th grade (vocational training) and university. The scholorship is obligated from seven until sixteen years old, but almost all the students continueted the studies.
The Educational Ministery is the main responsable for elaborate the curriculum in the first two fases. In the university the procedes are a little differents, depending of Cience, Inovation and Superior Education Minestery. Every institution decide their programs, goals and the duration of the course. Before the primary there are kindergatens to the 0 until the 6 years. In the transition to the primary, the kindergatens work with the schools to make a preparation for the first year . This preparation began in the kindergarten with the 5/6 years groups visiting the primary schools once a week, with one of the pedagoges. When the education comunity think that the child is ready, theres a group in every primary schools that recive the childs and work with them in a year that they call "class 0" . Here the children grow in their own rythm, socialize with another kids, and do some preparation
for the first year.
In Denmark the education have their inspiration in the home environment (" homelike") and in a stimulating environment. The experiences, explorations, discoveries and outdoor games put the child in contact with the life cycles and death, living flows, rhythms and dynamic processes. In contact with the natural world children play and at the same time learn and above all create an affective bond with Mother Earth, becoming caregivers of the environment . Playing is the child's natural occupat ion and expression.
