Elazig is a beautiful city, situated amidst a large area of plains, with purple mountains surrounded by every side, with many rivers and lakes that increase its beauty, with many natural resources, and one of the most distinguished cities in terms of organization and good planning.

Situated in the east of Turkey, Elazig city is close to a mountain of 4,350 feet, at an altitude of 1020 meters above sea level, located on a fertile plain surrounded by gardens and vineyards.

Elazig is one of the warmest areas in Turkey, with an average temperature of 21 degrees Celsius. However, its climate is consistent with the climatic conditions of Central Europe, so it is humid and cold, with several summer months. Best times to travel from June to September, winter athletes are the best weather for January.

1- Hazar Lake 
It is a lake stuck between Astar mountains and Hazar Baba mountains, one of the most important lakes in Anatolia, two of the shores of this lake received the blue flag of the European Environmental Education Association, and reflect each shade of green and blue, and displays every hour a different appearance.

This lake was formed as a result of a landslide in the past. It is a favorite tourist destination for many tourists, and you can do many activities such as fishing, swimming and recreation on its banks, as well as the many facilities and tourist facilities around it, which number about 25. There are plenty of restaurants and hotels in the parks, along with relaxation and education camps.

2 - Keban Dam Lake 
The second largest artificial lake in Turkey with a length of up to 125 kilometers. There is also a beautiful park near the lake visited by many people in the summer. 3 - Hazar Baba Ski Center

It is located south of the city of Elazig, 25 km south, there are private vehicles. The depth of snow is 100 to 200 cm in Hazar Baba Mountain and the mountain is 2,347 meters. The resort includes a coffee shop, ski slopes and many ski equipment available for hire. You can enjoy the city view from above. Thousands of people flock to practice winter sports in this area every year, especially in the winter.

5 - Golan hot springs
These springs are located in the village of Yoğuna 18 km away, namely near the Peri Çayı River.
Thousands of people come every year to visit this wonderful place and take advantage of its healing water. Researchers believe that their water is useful in treating many diseases such as rheumatism, dermatitis and gynecological diseases, and helps heal fractures faster.

6- Harput Castle
The castle is located in the "Karput" neighborhood in the center of the city of "Elazig", part of the city of archaeological Harput, and the history of the castle to the twentieth century BC when created by the Ortites to tighten control of the plains of Elazig.

The castle consists of two internal and external sections, characterized by a rectangular shape from the top. It has been restored more than once in history, and is dubbed another "milk castle" .

7. Elazığ Buzluk Cave

It is located near the archaeological city of Karput and opened its doors to visitors in 1990. The cave is warm in the winter and cold in the summer, with ice pieces on its walls, and people used to come to it and extract ice pieces and sell them on the market.
