Beautiful Scenery
The Irish War Memorial Gardens is a beautiful space located in Islandbridge in Dublin. It's purpose is to dedicate a remembrance area for 49, 400 Irish soldiers who gave their lives in the Great War. I visited it in early May this year on a sunny day. The scenery is beautiful and there were a lot of people out walking and sunbathing. There are circular rose gardens and a pond.
It is well worth a visit to take in the spectacular scenery.
It is a place where you can walk around or sit and read a book quietly. There is a river beside it in which you can catch a glimpse of people rowing.
It is has a variety of trees such as cherry blossoms and theur leaves cover the ground beautifully.
In the first state visit of a British Monarch to Ireland in 2011, Queen Elizabeth II laid wreaths to honour the dead.
