What is it like to live in Downers Grove? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Downers Grove is a quiet neighborhood. It has a hospital, stores, gas station, etc.--everything you need. It also has public transportation but it is not very good. Downers Grove is a great place to raise children. It is a family area filled with large houses and big backyards. You will need a car. The crime rate is very low.

What is the student lifestyle like in Downers Grove?

Downers Grove is a suburb. A suburb with no colleges. All the students are either grammerschool or highschool. There are colleges in surrounding areas, however.

How much does it cost to live in Downers Grove?

It can cost very little or a lot depending on where you live. I make about $24,000 a year, and am very comfortable.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Downers Grove? Is there any advice you can give?

No. There are many apartments in Downers Grove. I've never heard of any shared apartments, though.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

In Downers Grove, the food is mediocre, but it does have a many good restaurants from which to choose. And if nothing attracts, you can always try Chicago. It is not far.

What places would you recommend visiting in Downers Grove?

Not to many places to visit in Downers. You can go downtown. There is a metra stop there which will take you to many destinations--one being Chicago. Over the summer, Downers has many outdoor activities in this area. It also has a fresh veggie and fruit fair.

Is it good to eat out in Downers Grove? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There is a mall called "Yorktown." It has many good restaurants from which to choose.

Is the nightlife good in Downers Grove? Where is good to go?

I don't know.

What advice would you give future students heading to Downers Grove?

If your serious about studying, Downers Grove is for you. If you want to go out with friends I would avoid Downers. It is a friendly but slow-moving suburb of Chicago.
