Why did you choose to go to Como, Italia?

Because I like Italy, I wanted to improve my level of italian and to know more about the culture. I preferred the North because I live in the South of Spain and I wanted something different.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

The scholarship is for 6 months and i get 2000 euros.

What is the student lifestyle like in Como?

It depends, in my case it is very interesting and I'm travelling a lot around Italy and Switzerland. Como is a beautiful city if you like mountains, walking and you don't like discos.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Como to other students?

Yes, I recommend Como because I can meet a lot of people from different parts of the world and every day is different. The university is not complicated and the teachers are nice.

What is the food like?

Everybody knows about Italian food.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Como?

Yes, people that come here usually goes to a Students residence. In my case I had a lot of luck with my apartment.

How much does it cost to live in Como?

Between 300-400€ the accommodation, 600€ at the end every month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Italian is easy to understand but difficult to speak. The italian course is free and it started two months after we came.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Como from your city?

By plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Como?

Made, Cube and several pubs for aperitivi.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Como?

Pizzeria in via Milano and piadinerias, is economical everywhere.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There are good museums and churches. and there are a lot of famous cities near Como like Verona, Milano, Firenze, Bologna, Torino,...

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Como in the future?

My advise is that you need at least 3000€.
