What is it like to live in Colombo? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I do recommend it. It is the capital of Sri Lanka. So most of the facilities are better. Several historical buildings (build by English and dutch) are available.

What is the student lifestyle like in Colombo?

Not much entertaining parties, but some night clubs (which are not specially for students).

How much does it cost to live in Colombo?

500 Euro/ month enough for a comfortable life

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Colombo? Is there any advice you can give?

Not very difficult.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Use a lot of spices. So hot food. However, some restarants like Mcdonald, Indian, chinese ara available.

What places would you recommend visiting in Colombo?

Of course nice beaches. Then the Museum. Since Sri Lanka is an island, student can arrange visiting different parts of Sri Lanka. Not necessary restrict to Colombo. Many different climates - in different parts.

Is it good to eat out in Colombo? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, there are some good restaurants

Is the nightlife good in Colombo? Where is good to go?

Not much, but some students go to golfface beach and some go to night clubs
