Today's Lunch by Morrisons: cumberland sausages

Today I ate cumberland sausages with a red wine gravy. Sounds good doesn't it? Well take a look at this! :

Morrisons sells what they call 'FRESH IDEAS' packs, that contain all the necessary ingredients for you to just shove them into the oven, wait for them to cook, and enjoy.

I noticed them the first time I went there and already wanted to try them out until I succumbed and bought them the next Wednesday. It was the first one that I ever tried and I kept buying it ever since.

It was quite tasty. It seems that Cumberland sausages truly are something typical of that region, that and the toffee pudding, which is as sweet as it is good. The sausages are rolled and spiced with some herbs. I added some mashed potato with the other sausage that I had not eaten during lunch. Packs are always a two-person serving, so I cooked it all and kept the other half for supper.

Do you know what got me the most excited? It was the first meal that had a sauce to dip my bread! It may sound stupid, but I really missed the dipping sauce that we usually make at home. So I just toasted a bit of bread and It made my day.

Tonight I am eating it once again, and though as I wrote the mashed potato really did it, I will boil a potato a little bit before I eat.

Tonight we are also going to see a mesmerizing show here in The Crown Inn, next to the University. If it goes like the last one, I can assure you there will be tears of laughter.

Tomorrow is Stella's Birthday and I am thinking about what to prepare because everyone's bringing something... I think I'll make top hats, I will send you the recipe before Igo.

xx
