What is it like to live in Caen? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It is a great city especially when you are a student. It is not as pretty as Rouen because it was destroyed during the war, but there are a lot of interesting stuffs to do. And the sea is very close, like 15min by car!

What is the student lifestyle like in Caen?

Amazing! There are a lot of great places to party, and the city center is very easy to access. And there is the Carnaval every year, the biggest one in Europe for students ;)

How much does it cost to live in Caen?

Rooms and appartments are a little bit more expensive than in other cities in Normandie, because there is a lot of students. Otherwise it is like in every city of France.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Caen? Is there any advice you can give?

It is, just start your research as soon as possible.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Like everywhere, if you want you can try "les tripes à la mode de Caen".

What places would you recommend visiting in Caen?

The castle, "la colline aux oiseaux", the port.

Is it good to eat out in Caen? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Magic Beau Gosse, best place for kebabs !

Is the nightlife good in Caen? Where is good to go?

It is great! You can go on the port or Rue Ecuyère.

What advice would you give future students heading to Caen?

Just enjoy your student life, go to the city center with your friends and to the sea :)
