What is it like to live in Bursa? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Live in bursa is amazing for people which are from Europe because they can find a different and beautiful architecture and life style in Bursa,Bursa was first capital city of Ottoman Empire because of this situation there’s too much historical area from Ottoman Empire also city is really huge and there’s too much opportunity for students and young people.Finally Bursa is perfect for exchange students to learn Turkish culture.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bursa?

For students Bursa is not perfect of course but as I said there’s too much opportunity and facility for them on the other hand in Görükle which is part of Bursa there’s just students live and there’s too much clubs Cafe’s and other facilities for students it’s like a small bursa for students and it’s too close to university also you can reach to city centre with underground.

How much does it cost to live in Bursa?

Actually Bursa is quite cheaper than other big Turkish cities such as Istanbul Izmir and Ankara so it’s perfect choice for students.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bursa? Is there any advice you can give?

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

For food Bursa shows you all Turkish cuisine especially real kebab Iskenderun kebab is founded in Bursa(kebab with yogurt and pita bread and hot butter souce)
Also there’s too much restaurants about classical Turkish cuisine and also Restaurans about Italian,French and other cuisines.
These places are cheap,healthy and delicious.

What places would you recommend visiting in Bursa?

Firstly you can visit Historical places in centre such as Grand Mosque(Ulu Camii),Green Tomb and Mosque(Yeşil Camii ve Türbesi),and other areas Grand bazaar,Koza Han and other places.

Is it good to eat out in Bursa? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

As I told before restaurants are perfect and cheap but if you’re not from Turkey firstly you have to try Iskender Kebab Restaurant it’s the original doner kebab.Also for world cuisine you can try Ristorante Di Zett it’s perfect place for pizza and other italian traditional foods also you can try to eat special Turkish pizza lahmacun and Pide also cantik which special pide of bursa for these foods you an try to eat in Haci Dayi this place too close to tomb of Osmangazi and Orhangazi.

Is the nightlife good in Bursa? Where is good to go?

Nightlife of Bursa is quite boring because there’s too less clubs on centre but you can find a too much pubs for taste a delicious Turkish beer but in Görükle which part for students there’s too much clubs and pubs totally for fun.In center you can drink your beer in LeMan Kültür with live music.For club you can try to go danza club and pub in Görükle.

What advice would you give future students heading to Bursa?

For my opinion if you wanna see different culture you should definitely try to go Bursa because it’s combination of Historical and Modern life its perfect with prices,transportation,delicious foods and kind people of bursa it’s crowded but silent and safe city of Turkey it’s best choice after see Istanbul for run away from chaos of Istanbul.
