What is it like to live in Bucharest? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It's a rather cheap town. The public transport is well organised. It has numerous beautiful parks and the people are warm, keen to help and they know how to party.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bucharest?

It depends on the university but there are a lot of student discounts.

How much does it cost to live in Bucharest?

The monthly metro pass is aroung 15 euros without discount. With discount it's half of that. The price for food can differ depending on the market or restaurant. In the center of the city, the food reaches the prices of the Occident but there are places where you can eat a 3 course menu for around 5 euro. But i find it way cheaper to make your own food with products from the supermarkets. I don't recommend the local markets.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bucharest? Is there any advice you can give?

I'm living in Bucharest so I don't know how to answer that but my classmates said that they have found accommodation for around 250 euro but the deposit I have heard its quite big.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Romanians do not use seasoning that much so for a foreigner the food might be tasteless. I personally dislike Romanian food and i am a Romanian.

The parks - especially Herastrau Park. The Palace of the Parliament, Cotroceni Palace, the Romanian Peasant Museum, the Grigore Antipa Museum.

Journey Pub, Shift Pub, La Placinte, Lente, Spartan, Pizza Latina, Hanul Berarilor, Chef's Experience, Cartofiserie

Is the nightlife good in Bucharest? Where is good to go?

Silvercurch Club, Surubelnita Club, Lipscani Street is full of clubs.

What advice would you give future students heading to Bucharest?
