What is it like to live in Bucharest? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Bucharest is a busy place, like all capital cities of the world, noisy and crowded, but then again with lots and diverse activities to suit everyone`s taste, hobbies and interests.
You wil love walking in the old quiet streets with wonderful houses, most sure you will fall in love with our parks, old churches, good food, the wines... and you cannot not adore being surrounded with so many good looking ladies everywhere... have a local tour you around and show you the hidden wonders, don`t forget the Village museum that tells you a lot about who we were, lavish on our cheeses that you can find nowhere else and food, get to discover the true Romanian spirit and don`t be afraid to just get lost... someone will find you and help you out for sure... Bucharest is a must...

What is the student lifestyle like in Bucharest?

Gorgeous, white nights and people on the streets and in the pubs, clubs all the time every time in the old city center and not only.

How much does it cost to live in Bucharest?

It tends to be a bit pricey, but then again that`s the story with all capital cities, isn`t it?

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bucharest? Is there any advice you can give?

Not difficult to find accommodation, we have wonderful hostels, hotels and so on... my advice, pick on a homey hostel and discover our people, you`ll love being with us.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

A bit too much for my taste personally .... but gorgeous none the less, must try the following: starting with jumari cu ceapa (fried bits of pork meat with onions) or sunculita (pork fat with skin) with cheese and onions, a sour soup either with beans and smoked meat, or radauteana (with chicken and cream), or tripe, mititei (sausage fillings with spices) and moustard, ostropel (chicken stew with a wine sauce) with polenta, sarmalute (minced meat with rice and spices wrapped in cabbage or wine leaves)... it may not sound good.... but trust me my mouth is watering as I write this...

What places would you recommend visiting in Bucharest?

Village museum and Herastrau park, old city center, Cismigiu park, the Dorobanti area with Paris and London streets, Belu cemetery with all the incredible statues...

Is it good to eat out in Bucharest? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Caru` cu bere is a must!!!

Is the nightlife good in Bucharest? Where is good to go?

Goblin!

What advice would you give future students headed to Bucharest?

You`ll love it, if you are into culture, fun, night life and want to keep your hobbies and guilty pleasures from home (shopping and all)... it`s the perfect place for you = )
