What is it like to live in Bucharest? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It is awesome to live in Bucharest, I would definitely recommend it. The public transportation needs improvement but the subway is in great shape, so I recommend everyone to go by subway. People are very friendly and welcoming.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bucharest?

In Bucarest the student lifestyle is very wild. There are lots of clubs open until the morning even on weekdays and everybody loves to party. You can drink, smoke, dance, do whatever you like or just chill home alone or with some friends if you're in the mood to.

How much does it cost to live in Bucharest?

Bucharest is a very cheap city compared to other cities in the world. I think that with 500 Euro/month in total you can enjoy Bucharest without lacking anything.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bucharest? Is there any advice you can give?

I don't think it is difficult. I would recommend staying in an apartment with other students in a nice area. You can find online apartments and the prices are ok if you share.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The Romanian food is awesome, everybody should try the traditional dishes. I would recommend you to go to "Carul cu bere" restaurant in the old center of the city and eat there.

What places would you recommend visiting in Bucharest?

The center of the city, the house of people, Herastrau and Cismigiu Parks, Victoriei street are my favourite spots in Bucharest. You should also visit the Village Museum.

Yes, it is, the center of the city is full of nice places. You can try "La mama" and mandatory "Carul cu bere".

What advice would you give future students heading to Bucharest?

I would advise you to use the subway, go out, make friends, have fun and also travel to Brasov, Sibiu, Constanta or Cluj because these are amazing cities as well. Also, you can go to the mountains in places like Sinaia or Busteni and it is not expensive at all to travel through Romania, so it is worth it.
