What is it like to live in Bucharest? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
It is like NYC but at a smaller scale and more depreciated. And more beautiful girls. It is hard to get bored though. With a good variety of people.
What is the student lifestyle like in Bucharest?
It is good, a lot of students and young people and a lot of open learning resources. A lot of discounts, free transportation by train. In terms of jobs, you just need some time to find a quality one.
How much does it cost to live in Bucharest?
Housing around 250-300 euros/ month and food around 200 euros/month. This is for average lifestyle.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bucharest? Is there any advice you can give?
It is not difficult to find, try to find some local, there are plenty speaking English, and then local people can help you.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
All kinds of restaurants. My favorites are those who offer romanian traditional food.
What places would you recommend visiting in Bucharest?
"Herastrau" and "Tineretului" Park, Nor Sky Casual Restaurant, Unirii Square.
Is it good to eat out in Bucharest? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Food is good, but in historical center you have to check if it could be more expensive. I recommend Dristor.
Is the nightlife good in Bucharest? Where is good to go?
Historical center, Casinos, Faceclub, Boa.
What advice would you give future students heading to Bucharest?
Lower your expectations and you will be good surprised. People and city are fun here. Nothing too special, be open and insist create a good circle of people. And eyes open!
