What is it like to live in Bucharest? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It's a very hectic city. Always busy always noisy but if you can pass all of these you will definitely enjoy it. Loads of pubs and clubs. Old big parks for leisure time. Romanians in general are very welcoming and warm. Prices for a westerner are going to feel pretty low. There could be serious improvements to our public transport but you will be able to get around with it still.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bucharest?

We've got loads of NGOs and student designed events. The number of university in the city is quite high therefore the number of students is huge. As I've said we have a lot of pubs and clubs to hangout and have fun. There's also a lot of career opportunities.

How much does it cost to live in Bucharest?

Not much. Rents are about 400 euros a month tops and with another 100/200 euros you can live more than well for the entire month. And this would be an expensive experience

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bucharest? Is there any advice you can give?

Not really but yet again being born here and still being too young means that i'm staying with my parents. So i haven't really got an expierence in finding accomodation

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is good. We don't really have that many traditional dishes. You'll definitely love sarmale and mici. But we have all cuisines present from chinese and asian to italian mexican fast food.

What places would you recommend visiting in Bucharest?

Old town city center.
The parks.
Museums.

Is it good to eat out in Bucharest? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There's not a place i love to eat at but there is one called trattoria buongiorno lido ( i appologise for any typo here ). They've got really good food.

Is the nightlife good in Bucharest? Where is good to go?

Oh yes. It's amazing. Unfortunately we're not queer friendly but ain't no one going to judge you if you fool around in a straight club. There is one gay club as well but besides that i don't reccomend a full display of queer actions during your nightclub experiences.

What advice would you give future students heading to Bucharest?

Do more than studying. The city isn't going to give you much to work with so meet and befriend local students. The city is great if you know how to enjoy it
