Why did you choose to go to Bucharest, Romania?

It is a different culture, with different traditions, religion, history and the cultural shock amazed me, in a positive way.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

The scholarship lasts for the whole program and I ge taround 1000€ in total to help me with the living costs.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bucharest?

Relaxed and the teachers help you to achieve your goal.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Bucharest to other students?

yes, I had an amazing experience, everyone was very friendly and kind.

What is the food like?

Really good and everywhere you go, you can the taste the real homecooking meal! Plus it is really cheap.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Bucharest?

No, I went to the students residence.

How much does it cost to live in Bucharest?

Around 200€ per month. It will be enough.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes and yes, I managed to learn Romanian really easily.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Bucharest from your city?

Plane!

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Bucharest?

Everywhere! For instance, Lipscani club.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Bucharest?

Anywhere you can eat well.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The parks are amazing!

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Bucharest in the future?

Just take advantage of everything you can and make the most out of the time you are there! There is no life like the Erasmus student life :)
