Erasmus Experience in Bucharest, Romania by Kateřina
Why did you choose to go to Bucharest, Romania?
I like eastern countries and their cultures. Romania is very specail country with beautiful people and landscape. I like to travel to countryside and meet "normal" citizens, but even Bucharest as a big city surprised me a lot and I was really very happy to spent my Erasmus there.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I was one month in Sibiu for the language course. If you can, surely take this experience, it will help you to understand the culture and of course the language. In Bucharest I was from February till the end of June. Prices are higher then it the rest of Romania, but still it is ok. I had scholarship from Erasmus and also money from my parents.
What is the student lifestyle like in Bucharest?
It depends of type of persons. I am in love with culture things, so i found some culture events. I am not so much party type, but there were a lot of them, every week some. But Bucharest is big city so every evening you can choose from a lot of possibilities.
