Why did you choose to go to Bucharest, Romania?
Because it's a city that is very different from the typical European cities. It most interested me to go to a city where there aren't many foreigners and this means that they treat you better than people in other cities.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
The grant lasted for 2 years, I went to Bucharest for 6 months, the rest of the time I was in France. I got €1, 100 a month.
What is the student lifestyle like in Bucharest?
Budapest Polytechnic is a very well-known school, especially for engineers. The lifestyle is normal, people study all the time, people get outside of the classrooms, etc.
Would you recommend the city and the university of Bucharest to other students?
Yes, despite not personally liking living in Bucharest, I think that it's a city that's worth exploring for at least 6 months.
What is the food like there?
I'm from Mexico, so the food is bad compared to what I'm used to.
Was it difficult to find accommodation in Bucharest?
No, the university helped us to find accommodation quickly... although the condition of the accommodation isn't the best, but it's definitely very affordable.
How much does it cost to live in Bucharest?
It depends on how much you want to spend.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the university?
It's impossible to understand! But the good thing is that a lot of girls speak Spanish here.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Bucharest from your home city?
By plane.
Where would you recommend for a night out in Bucharest?
Kulturhaus! Lipscani Square has some other great places, but Kulturhaus without a doubt.
