What is it like to live in Brno? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
It is full of excitement, lot of things to do - not only nightlife in Brno, but also sport (cycling, climbing, horse riding... ), in few minutes you are out from Brno (hiking).
What is the student lifestyle like in Brno?
Student lifestyle was amazing.
How much does it cost to live in Brno?
It depends what you do, but generally it is not too expensive. Food and accommodation are not expensive, but entertainment can be expensive.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Brno? Is there any advice you can give?
No, there are lot of student homes and privat flats for sharing. But it is better to look for accommodation in advanced, it can be difficult especially one month before semester starts.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Czech food is not bad, but it can be heavy and if you care about calories, I dont recommend eat to much czech food. You can find all types of food there - italien, chinese, japanese, indian and also you can find restaurants for vegetarians.
What places would you recommend visiting in Brno?
Old town - city center (castle Spilberk), Moravian Galery, Technical museum, dam and castle Veveri. Not far from Brno is Palava for hiking, Mikulov, Vestonice (muzeum), all South Moravia is beautiful.
Is it good to eat out in Brno? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Steak bars. Modra ruze, 4 ruze, Steak bar pod Lekarnou, restaurace Pohoda, Dejavu.
Is the nightlife good in Brno? Where is good to go?
Yes, you can find almost on each corner in city center some pub, bar, restaurant. For dancing: Livingstone, Bastilla, Two faces, 7.
