What is it like to live in Brno? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Brno is 2nd largest city in Czech Republic but the city centre where everything happens is pretty small. There are not that much tourists as in other cities yet it has a lot of things to do and see.

What is the student lifestyle like in Brno?

Since there are 3 big universities and some private institutes, it is pretty much student city. There are faculties of all universities all over the Brno. And since students love to hang out together there are plenty of Caffeterias, pubs, restaurants, clubs, etc.

How much does it cost to live in Brno?

Czech Republic doesn't see euro yet, so any other country feels that the prices are cheap. Actually it really is.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Brno? Is there any advice you can give?

No. Find an accommodation, especially for student, is quite easy. In Brno you can stay at dormitories which is not that convinient, I think. Or you share a flat. I realised after some travelling that in other countries students are not used to share room. In Brno, or Czech Republic in general, we share room in dormitories and in flats so the rent is cheaper.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Czech dishes are pretty heavy and salty (I am Asian but I am used to). But it's worth try any.

What places would you recommend visiting in Brno?

Everywhere. Sorry. I am native so I cannot say where you really should go, but it's small city so you should visit as much places as possible.

Is it good to eat out in Brno? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

In the city centre there are plenty of places you can go. On every corner there is pub or restaurant.

Is the nightlife good in Brno? Where is good to go?

Yeah... as already mentioned there are a lot of clubs with different styles and theme party. And since there are a lot of students there is always student party.
