Why did you choose to go to Brno, Czech Republic?

Because it is an interesting place, and its education system is really excellent, also it is in the center of Europe so it is accessible for travelling.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship is for five months, each month I get 1000 euros to pay my living cost, I could said that it is enough to cover all my expenses.

What is the student lifestyle like in Brno?

It depends on how you feel in this city. If you fit in well, obviously you will enjoy your stay here. Personally, I really like the lifestyle here, everyone is in its own business.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Brno to other students?

Of course, the university pays close attention to the exchange students, and both the university and locals are so kind.

What is the food like?

There is a big variety of food here and you can choose whatever you like.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Brno?

No, everything was provided by the local coordinators, so it was not a problem at all.

How much does it cost to live in Brno?

Brno has a really good quality of life for a reasonable cost.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The Czech language is not easy, but the university offers a survival course at the beginning of your arrival, at least you learn to say that you do not speak Czech, also there are other language courses available but you have to pay for them.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Brno from your city?

Well, in my case it is not so easy it took me almost 2 days but still reasonable, also it depends on your flight schedule, and route.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Brno?

My favorite restaurant is "Vytopna" which is kind of fancy because your drinks are served by a little train, furthermore, the attention is excellent, and of course it is not too expensive.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

I have visited some of the castles which are amazing.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Brno in the future?

Well, just come prepared for a really cold weather, then enjoy your stay here.
