How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I'm going to stay here 1 year and I don't receive any money since I'm here as a free mover, but life here is cheap, so it is not a problem.
What is the student lifestyle like in Brno?
The university is very well organized, students, go to classes in the beautiful buildings of the university where they find also canteens with great food and wonderful study rooms. Many activities are organized during the year to entertain students, from parties to trips to social events. So you can never get bored!

Sure, I'm studying at Masaryk university which is a very serious one, with competent professors, a good organization, modern facilities, and where students can find the best environment to live their university life.

I'm living in a dormitory of Masaryk University. It is quite cheap and the place is good.
How much does it cost to live in Brno?
I'm spending around 500 euros per month totally, comprehensive of dormitory, food and fun.

The language is quite difficult. The university organizes language courses but it takes quite a lot to learn Czech.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Brno from your city?
I usually travel by bus or train to Ostrava and from there take a plane to Milano
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Brno?
It depends on what kind of night you want to spend. There are many beautiful pubs but also clubs for those who want to dance, go bowling, pool, laser games... It depends on what you are looking for, but for sure you have to try Czech beer so I suggest the pub Pegas or Charlie's. While if you want to have a good cocktail you should go to the pub that does not exist. Or you can walk around the city and find one of the Indian places where it is possible to eat Indian food, drink tea or something else, smoke shisha and relax while playing some board games.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Brno?
U trecht certu and Pegas for sure, but there are many others.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Brno in the future?
Walk around the city and discover by yourself its mysteries and beautiful places!
