Why did you choose to go to Brno, Czech Republic?

I was attending a flying school(Flying Academy) in Letiste Turany.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I did not have a scholarship.

What is the student lifestyle like in Brno?

As a middle eastern student I have been to several countries and Brno is simply the best. I really don't know what drags me to this vibrant city. Everyone i meet in Brno is very easy to get along with and soon i found myself with my own group of friends in Stopkova (My favorite pub in Brno). I was no more a lonely stranger in this Central European country.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Brno to other students?

Absolutely. When i came back home for my vacations, i realized how Brno has influenced me as i miss the city badly. Even after my studies i would love to settle down and make a living in Brno.

What is the food like?

Being a Muslim, food was something i struggled with as halal food is not that common here as in London. Its not that rare but its just a little hard to locate them.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Brno?

Nope. My academy helped me find my apartment.

How much does it cost to live in Brno?

Absolutely cheap for the luxury.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I found the language a little hard to follow initially. But soon i started greeting people in Czech ( Ahoj, Dobryden, Chauu) and now i don't find the language to be a hassle.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Brno from your city?

The easiest way to get to Brno from Dubai is to take a flight to Prague(Emirates Airlines is my favorite) its a 6 hours flight, and then getting on a student agency bus to Brno (Student agency buses are simply the best)

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Brno?

On a typical night out in Brno, me and my friends would go to Sky Ice bar.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Brno?

Stopkova is my favorite in Brno.
