Brighton is a city that is blessed with masses of friendly young people, of all backgrounds. There is always something going on whether in the theatre, cinema, pubs, clubs or on the roadside.

What is the student lifestyle like in Brighton?

The student lifestyle is busy if you like to get involved in lots of activities. There are numerous bars, pubs and clubs. There are sports clubs to join, societies, and people to meet in our tasty cafes.

How much does it cost to live in Brighton?

Brighton isn't cheap but it is worth the money! Rent can vary from £380-£450 while the cost of living depends on how much you spend!

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Brighton? Is there any advice you can give?

If you are a student, ask your host university for advice. If you are visiting there are a few hostels, you may find some places to stay on a couch-surfing website.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is very eclectic. A great mix of foreign cuisine along with the usual English pub food and of course, fish and chips.

What places would you recommend visiting in Brighton?

The Pavilion, the pier, the Duke of York's cinema, the north and south laines.

Is it good to eat out in Brighton? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Eating out in Brighton is easy as there are so many places to suit each mood. I like the Italian places, sushi, Vietnamese and vegetarian salad bars like Iydea.

Is the nightlife good in Brighton? Where is good to go?

The nightlife is welcoming for all types of people, for the more chilled, the green door store, or some of the bars. For those who want to go clubbing, Madame Geisha, Lola Lo, Wahoo and loads more.

What advice would you give future students heading to Brighton?

Join loads of clubs to meet new friends. Have a look at an Alpha course at St Peters church if you are interested in exploring Christianity and joining an incredibly friendly community. Use the local and university library resources that are available. Think about purchasing/renting a bike.
