What is the student lifestyle like in Brighton?

It's a very student friendly city. Wherever you go there are drinks offers, special nights out and cheap hangouts.

How much does it cost to live in Brighton?

It's fairly expensive. To rent an ex council flat in Kemp town costs upward of 600 pounds per month. The further into the suburbs you go, the cheaper the price of living becomes.

There are student flats and specialist student estate agents in Brighton who will be able to help you.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

As it is a seaside town, Brighton has lots of traditional British restaurants (Fish & Chips) but there are lots of cultural influences bubbling up. My fave restaurant is in Kemp Town (a region of Brighton) which serves a range of Italian meals for reasonable prices.

What places would you recommend visiting in Brighton?

One of the main tourist traps is Brighton Pavilion, followed by the pier and the Laines, a shopping destination. There is also a sealife centre and a few arcades.

See above.

Belushis is a well known cheap student hangout next to the coach station. There are also several clubs on the promenade who do deals. Concode is a fairly cool music venue too.

What advice would you give future students headed to Brighton?

Enjoy yourself but bring wet weather gear.
