Starting my blog, starting Erasmus

Hi everyone!

I'm starting this blog, in which I'm hoping to tell you all about my Erasmus experience as a student in Bremen (Germany), telling you about the trips that I go on around Europe during my stay, giving advice and stuff for other Erasmus students, recommending cities and places to visit... anything I can think of!

Before anything, I'm going to tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Andrés, I'm 19 years old and I'm from Murcia (Spain), although, I study architecture at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena. Since I was small, I've always loved travelling and getting to know other places, so I have always been certain that I'd want to do a year abroad with Erasmus. I decided to come to Bremen to learn (or at least to try to learn) German, also the city drew me in quite a lot, because it's a city with a great student atmosphere, it's relatively cheap for Germany and it's strategically situated in the middle of Europe, which greatly helps travelling. After a lot of paperwork, an infinity trying to find accommodation, a few headaches, a German course and a Ryanair flight, I landed in Bremen a little over a month and a half ago.

Starting my blog, starting Erasmus

This past month and a half has been very intense, full of parties and discoveries. Little by little I have felt more at home, forming what is known as "your Erasmus family. I have been Discovering this beautiful city by day and its magnificent nightlife every night, learning how everything works and trying not to die along the way.

Starting my blog, starting Erasmus

As I continue to write this blog, I will tell you a little more about me and my life in Bremen. I have decided to divide this blog into two sections:

  • The 10 commandments of Erasmus in Bremen: here, I will be explaining different important aspects of the Erasmus experience in this city (from finding somewhere to stay to recommendations for nights out)
  • Eurotrip: here, I will tell you about the different trips that I will be going on and I will be giving advice about what to do in each of these cities.

Also, I'm trying to capture the trips that I will be taking through photos and I will be putting some on Instagram, so I'll leave you the link to my Instagram here if you're interested.

Until the next post!
