Why did you choose to go to Bratislava, Slovakia?

Because as I am a Polish, the culture seems to be very similar and, at the same time, different. The city looks similiar but it has other spirit. I don't regret my decision, it was better than to going West to some countries like Spain or Germany.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I'm spending here 5 months, and I am geting 300 euros per month.

The cost of dormitory is 168 for two month, but there can be differences in each dormitory and university. I think that for the flat is double cost.

So 300 euros is enough to live poorly, partying one day per month and eating in the canteen at school, which is a cost from 1 to 3 euro for a meal. Some other stuff like yellow cheese- 1, 20-1, 80, 1L milk 0, 35-1 euro, bun 0, 15-0, 70 euro. Everything depends on the shop you choose.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bratislava?

It is quite good. In dormitory you can mostly party twice a week. There is a lot of parties in the city even in the week days.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Bratislava to other students?

If you are not afraid of a little rain and wind it will be cool. Slovak people are very nice and beer is cheap and good. You can choose between a lot of kinds.

What is the food like?

It's heavier than Spanish or Italian. More similar to German and Polish, they eat mainly goat cheese and meat, but it is traditional food. Of course you will find some pizza, pasta or burgers.

I got a room in the dormitory.

How much does it cost to live in Bratislava?

Around 350-400 euros per month, depends how much you are spending on an attraction, but mainly for the western people it is cheaper to live here. For Polish it is a little more expensive.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

You can get some courses. For Polish people it is easy because of similar group of languages, but for others it will be hard.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Bratislava from your city?

The best way from Wrocław is Polski Bus with change in Katowice.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Bratislava?

Kc Dunaj, Nu Spirit Club or Bar on.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Bratislava?

Green Deer on Sunday they have half of the prices, and in Slovak Pub they have special prices for students.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Bratislava in the future?

Don't be afraid of the first look at Bratislava. It is amazing and if you like cycling you should definitely come here. Also, it is a good start to travel to Vienna or Budapest and the rest of the country. Trains for students are mainly free.
