Erasmus in Bratislava is just great!

My Erasmus in Bratislava was just great! It's a good location for travelling, especially with Ryanair! It doesn't rain a lot, it's just cold from December until February.

Life is not so expensive, you can find some very cheap clubs like Casey (beer, vodka and tequila are 90 cents! ) Transportation in Bratislava is well organised (about 30 euros for 3 months ticket), but at night there are few buses, only every hour. The 3 monthly ticket is not valid on night buses so be aware of inspectors. At night it is recommended to go by taxi, the minimal price is from 3 to 3, 5 euros. 1 km is around 50 to 60 cents (if you order a taxi on the phone), never stop a taxi on the street, it will be double the price!

As I said, the best parties are in Casey (on Tuesday), Charlie, Trafo, Dopler (near dormitory 'Ekonom', at the same street where bus stop 'Miletičova' is), RIO (it's bit expensive but it's nice to go sometimes). You can also go to Channels, they are open until 6am (I think.. ), but I didn't like this 'club'...

Supermarkets are similar in price, but I bought most of my stuff at Tesco. If you are bored, you can go to one of the shopping malls: Eurovea (it's very near to 'Ekonom'), Aupark and Avion.

The best dormitory is Ekonom. It's the newest dorm in Bratislava. The price for one month there is about 70 euros. A good place for a walk is in the Old Town, around the Castle and around Eurovea. There are not so many people who speak English, which sometimes can be a problem, but it's not so important.

If you want to go to Vienna by train, the return ticket is about 12 euros and tickets to Budapest and Prague are also not expensive.

I recommend you to apply for Erasmus in Bratislava (University of Economics), you will have a great time and great life experience!
