Why did you choose to go to Bratislava, Slovakia?
It was the best choice to be able to travel in Central Europe, the airport has flights to the main European capitals for a much lower price and getting to its bordering countries by road is very cheap. Besides, the location of Slovakia, which is in the centre of Europe, is ideal.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
The scholarship was 5 months (I was going for 9) and I got €300 a month.
What is the student lifestyle like in Bratislava?
It couldn't be better.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Bratislava to other students?
I would recommend it 100%.
What is the food like there?
I think the traditional food is great and that it's similar to other countries in the area, but each one has its own variations.
Was it difficult to finds accommodation in Bratislava?
No.
How much does it cost to live in Bratislava?
If you want a flat in the centre, it's from €200 up to how ever much you're willing to spend. The residences are from around €40-50 to €300 at their most expensive.
How did you find the language? Did you go to any courses at the university?
The languages is pretty difficult compared to Spanish or English. Some universities organise free Slovak courses.
What is the most economical way to get to Bratislava from your home city?
By plane.
Do you have any advice for future students in Bratislava?
Do not hesitate to come to Bratislava!
