Why did you choose to go to Bratislava, Slovakia?

Because I can speak quite well English and that was useful for my exams. Also because I've never seen that part of Central - East Europe, and to meet different people from other cultures.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship lasts 10 months. I receive quite 2300 euros for the all year.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bratislava?

For me it's really amazing: parties are cheap and organizatiors are really kind and precise! Exams aren´t quite difficult and teachers good!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Bratislava to other students?

Yes, definitely!

What is the food like?

I'm Italian, so I'm quite precise about food: it's very good but heavy and fatty, you can't eat it all day long.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Bratislava?

No, I stayed in a dormitory called Druzba and then I moved into a flat, but I found them for free.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Slovak is completely different from Latin and languages derived from it, so I found it was difficult to learn, but with English you can move quite everywhere.

On the other hand, I think each University offers language courses to learn an easy slovak.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Bratislava from your city?

By flight, Ryanair.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Bratislava?

Patio Hostel, clean and cheap hostel in the city centre.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Bratislava?

Mestianske Pivovaria next to the tram stop Postova - Martinus and Soho in Dunajska Ulica

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There are museums in the city centre, the Devin Castle 20 minutes far from Bratislava and many little cities not far from it.
