Why did you choose to go to Bratislava, Slovakia?

The education level is similar to any other good european universities. Second is just that Brtislava is little big city. Its capital but not too big like Prague or Viena. Everything is behind corner. You never afraid of livin. Everything is very close to your home. If not, public transport can take you everywhere. Bratislava doesn´t needs underground for example. And the third is girls. I´m serious. Slavak girls are prettiest of all.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bratislava?

Its great. You live in the city. Every accomodation is not too far from downtown. So after classes, take the bus or tram and in couple moment you are in the heart of city. Restaurants, pubs, bars in evenings are full of students or foreign people.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Bratislava to other students?

Yes i will. Its nice city.

What is the food like?

You can find various types of restaurants for all kind of money. Should eat from cheap asian restaurants (approx. 4 euro) to the more expensive restaurants with great atmosphere on main squere (40 euro or more)

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Bratislava?

As I said, its not a big city, so if you want to find really good flat, it take you some time. But the casual flat for example like 200 eur/month for room is not hard.

How much does it cost to live in Bratislava?

Whith everything? Lets count. I live in Bratislava for fifth year now ,so I know the basics. Living, lets say not more than 200 eur/month. Food, if you eat at school (2 eur/lunch) or during the lunch menu in city (not more than 4 eur/lunch) is very cheap. Behind everycorner is small Billa or Tesco Express. But after when you start to enjoying night life, couple of coffes in morning and after school a beer withfriends, its not problem to spent more than another 600 eur.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Slovak language is very, very hard to learn. So, you can try it. But dont care about that if you cant.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Bratislava from your city?

Definitely by train. Its the most comfortable way too. I live two hours with train from Bratislava. You can use the car, if you want to. But its big problem with parking

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Bratislava?

There is a lot of places. So if somebody like to dance, try Subclub (under castle), Alize or Trafo. If you like drinks go to Rio or try Lemond tree skybar. All of them are on Hviezdoslavovo squere. Some rock music? Definitely Irish or Barock. Under Michaels gate. Coffe? Shtoor´s cafe, Saint Germain bistro or Sherz cafe. etc.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Bratislava?

Depend on budget. The best for me is Kogo or Primi river lounge. Great places to be.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

I´m not interest in this. sorry

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Bratislava in the future?

Believe in Durex
