Brașov, the best accommodation ever

We leave Bran behind and start driving towards Brașov, the two places are not so far from each other, so it takes us around 40 minutes to get to the next destination. Because is getting dark outside and we are at the same time tired of today’s adventures, we don’t have in our plan visiting another tourist destination, but rather our first aim is to find the booked accommodation.

Where we should park the car in a touristy crowded city?

When we arrive in Brașov, we realize in an instance that we need to find a parking space for the car, a thing which proves to be impossible due to the high amount of people visiting or passing by the city over the Christmas holidays. Ups! What we do?

We call the person who has ranted us the place and ask if it has a parking spot too, but unfortunately it doesn’t. Thus, she is very nice to help us finding a parking place. Actually, in this article I want to talk more about the so welcomed and amazing experience we have in Brașov regarding our accommodation and the wonderful woman who carried us greeted us warmly in the most beautiful apartment I have been to so far.

Meeting with our host from Brașov

We meet with our host in the parking spot she found for us – which is not so far from the actual accommodation - and she starts to give us indications about how to get there. She notices that we are kind of lost in her directions and finally decides to take us to the accommodation to make sure we get on well.

We take all of our backpacks from the trunk and start walking, being guided by her, to the flat. Very soon we arrive in the main square of the city in which takes place The Christmas market. We are overwhelmed by the magical atmosphere and even if we are tired, all we want to do is come back here after we get rid of the heavy luggages.

The Art Gallery Residence, a central but quiet location

We found the accommodation on Booking under the name of "Art Gallery Residence" and we booked it very fast without any doubt because it looked amazing from photos, perfect for 5-6 persons, was surprisingly free during the Christmas holidays and in the day we would have travelled to Brașov and had a very good, affordable price taking in consideration the time period and all of the conditions it offers. Plus, the apartment is situated in the central area of the city, more precisely in Piața Sfatului. For one night the five of us pay together the amount of 370 lei meaning 76 euros.

After we pass through the crowded and noisy Christmas market located in Piața Sfatului, we enter on an alley and find our accommodation. Even if the place is quite close to the turmoil of the market and the city center, inside the apartment we cannot hear any disturbing sound outside of it, so the housing is perfect for having a quiet rest.

A very good looking residence: are we in an art gallery or a home?

We come into the Art Gallery Residence accompanied by the host and are immediately amazed by the specific aspect of it and the thoughtful way in which the entire interior, including every little corner, is so well put together. It feels like we are inside a painting set or a story.

A friend asks our host what’s the story behind the arrangement of the apartment and who’s the artist creating all of this. She just says simply that she is the artist, the passionate human who came up with all of this beauty.

The Art Gallery Residence is for sure imagined as a real gallery. We tell her that we are also studying arts, excepting my brother and she is truly happy to have us in her artistic space. After she leaves, before wishing us a good stay in Brasov, is kind of hard for each of us to pick a room and a bed because everything looks so good and suits us more than well.

The configuration of the apartament's space

The residence has two large bedrooms, one with two separate single beds and another one with a double bed and a single one. Between these two bedrooms is placed a living room with a sofa. Here we take a group photo of course to always remember our beautiful accommodation in Brasov.

The cozy atmosphere

Everything fits with everything: the vintage furniture works with all of the added decorations such as the dry flowers, plants, the different handmade and painted decorative objects, the colorful pillows and floral carpets.

The overall appearance of the apartment is very simple, clean, but there are many little, interesting objects decorating the place and giving life to it. The colors are carefully selected and the color range consisting in various shades of brown, orange, yellow and blue is creating a very cozy and calming atmosphere.

Why we have to stay here only for one night?

We feel sorry that we only spend one night in here because we would have wished to enjoy a longer time in this charming accommodation.

In the following morning, our host comes to our car to say goodbye and also to give us oranges, tangerines, apples and the traditional “cozonac”, the specific dessert of the Romanian Christmas.

We thank her very much for the kindness and for the good food she has brought for us. In that morning, our breakfast happened to be again in the back of the trunk with delicious snacks and a little battle over the sweet tangerines.

For sure recommended by me

The Art Gallery Residence is by far my favorite accommodation so far and I really recommend the place forward to the people who are travelling in the charming city of Brasov. If you are coming here with your friends, give it a try, is totally worth it! Laura, the host is an amazing, serious and warm person you have to come in contact with.
