What is it like to live in Bonn? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Bonn is a small city with a very nice architecture and a nice university. It’s nearly perfect for a relaxed lifestyle with a focus on an nice environment. But if u want to party a lot you better go to cologne. You can get there easily by train within 20-30 min.
How much does it cost to live in Bonn?
The rental prices for all kind of flats are very high. Therefore it’s very recommendable to rent an apartment or a flat together with a friend.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bonn? Is there any advice you can give?
Unfortunately it’s not so easy to find accommodation in Bonn. The only advice I can give is to talk to a lot of people because there are many rooms and small flats for rent which are not offered through the internet but through wort-of-mouth advertising.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
In Bonn you can find many different types of food. From Indish up to Italian food they have everything.
What places would you recommend visiting in Bonn?
I would recommend visiting the “Rheinaue” if you want to see some nature and the “Altstadt” for a bar tour. There are many little bars and coffee shops.
Is it good to eat out in Bonn? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Some of my favorite spots are “Tuscolo” with two locations in Bonn. It offers tasty Italian kitchen, then “doy doy” for oriental kitchen and “papa Umi” for sushi.
Is the nightlife good in Bonn? Where is good to go?
The night life in Bonn isn’t that exciting. There are many hookah cafes but if you search for a bar then you have to got to the “Altstadt” (oldtown).
