What is it like to live in Bolzano? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Bolzano is a historic city filled with and surrounded by natural magnificence. it is in the style of Latin/Germanic architecture, and its language is bilingual between German and Italian. Though not a large city, Bolzano is very much appreciated by tourists for its mountains and hills which are the figures of many hikes, skiing, snowboarding, and other mountain sports. Besides the sports, Bolzano, as a part of the South Tyrol region, is known and adored for its special dishes... for example, Schüttelbrot with Speck and Cheese is one of the most traditional meals. I would recommend Bolzano to the lovers of nature and peace and seekers of a good, warm experience.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bolzano?

The study life in Bolzano is very decent. There is a slogan at the Free University of Bolzano where I studied. It says "Study hard, party harder! " A friendly reminder that there is still life after a hard day at the University. University students make up most of the fun activities, seeing as the majority of the younger population are students of the university. The University itself holds several events which help to promote a very nice atmosphere among students, especially for foreign students.

How much does it cost to live in Bolzano?

The cost of living in Bolzano fairly high in my opinion. I have lived here for several years and I can say truthfully that one needs to set aside enough money for basic amenities. For example, the cost of a decent single room apartment ranges from 340-600 euros, except one decides to choose a room in the student dormitories, with prices ranging from €220 for a bed in a double room, and €295 for a single room. The cost of food, in my opinion, depends on the brand of the supermarket.

Remembering that we are speaking of Italy, a place where the cuisine is famous around the world. Also, because Bolzano is also in many ways Germanic, you will also find dishes of German origin such as the very tasty Spätzle and all types of Würstel.
