Bochum- The city where I found coziness.
I came in Bochum around 29th of September, 2016 as I got admission at the Ruhr University Bochum. The city is very well organized and serve living to a lot of international people. During my first days at Bochum, I found the city very comfortable, cozy and as days past, I felt like home. In the begining, I lived eight months in a private housing with a German lady. She was very helpful; everytime I need any information or help regarding finding shops, banks , restaurants and so on, she was always there for me. I will always be grateful to her for her nice co-operation. Her name is Magdalena but I call her "Engel lady".
She taught me how to make "Kaiserschmarrn" a special pancake. I felt like I was in my home with someone like mother. It was really an amazing feelings for me because I was missing my family. Overall, people of Bochum are really very helpful and friendly, according to my experience.
When I was new in the city, I used to roam around at the city center of Bochum. I like the city center or city point of Bochum very much. All the important places like shopping malls, groceries, banks, foreigners office (Auslander Buro) are there. In one side of the Bochum Rathaus, one can get the Banks, shopping malls, court of Bochum and on the other side, one can enjoy different types of restaurants, fast food shops and so on. Well, the literal meaning of Bochum Rathaus is Bochum Town hall.
It was a beautiful sunny day during summer, I was walking near the city center and trying to search some shop, I could not find it at first, therefore, I was just roaming around the whole city center. Although, I felt little tired that time however, I asked someone and he was so helpful and helped me to search the shop all the way. I said, "Danke schon" (Thank You very much) in German and he just smiled and said, "Bitte Schon".
Yesterday, I went out to find some peace of mind with the nature. It was 26 degree celcius in Bochum, very sunshiny day! In one hand, it looked very pretty, on the other hand, it was very warm. So, I went to some green place near Bochum, Waldring. I sat down under a beautiful tree for a while and lay down upon green grasses. I found cool comfort. Sharing some green pictures below:
