This means that students employ the method of discussing the two objects in one paragraph, first and then comparing their individual features in another. For examples, if two paintings are the topic of comparison, then students could discuss about both of them, first and then compare them in the subsequent paragraphs. However, this is more applicable to the two objects that belong to same group. This could be illustrated by comparing two poems of William Wordsworth, while both may belong to the same theme. However, the expression of the author may differ in the two poems. Hence, this method could compare them in a useful manner.

Comparing together

Students could write their essay using this method, which involves describing and comparing the two objects together in one paragraph itself.
