Upon Arrival at Malaga
Upon arrival at malaga airport I found the place to be quite well organised in the sense of transport to the centre.
From the Airport you can either travel by taxi, bus or train. Once you come out of the arrivals department you are faced with a ticket booth where you can buy your bus tickets which are reasonably priced, the booth is operated by a cashier rather than a machine so help is available if you become a bit stuck on which bus you should be getting and where from etc. The bus stops are just outside the airport and they are quite frequent during daytime hours, luggage can also be stored under the bus for a more comfortable journey.
If you wish to get a taxi, the taxi rank is also just across the road from the airport exit, they are also of reasonable price but try to share a taxi with people also going to the centre to reduce the price.
Just next to the taxi rank you will find the train station, upon arrival at the station there is a ticket machine where you can purchase your ticket to the centre for around 2 euros, the machine is very straight forward and your prefered language can be selected on the screen, however if in doubt there is also an attendant nearby to help you if needs must. Once on the train the journey is around 15-20 minutes long. Finally, upon arrival at Malaga Centro, assuming you have luggage with you, i reccommend taking the lift as there are a few sets of stairs which can become unbearable in the heat especially after a long plane journey.
Whichever form of trasport you choose to take, either way you will find yourself very much in the centre of Malaga, within close proximity to a bar should you need a place to relax after your journey.
