What is an influencer

Although many of us can guess it, an influencer is a person who stands out on social media, especially Instagram and now also Tik Tok, in some area such as travel, fashion, make-up, games, etc. and who has a great influence on their environment and on their followers on social media.

Today we tell you about the incredible trips of four of them so that you can take some notes for your next trip. Not only do we tell you about their routes and possible plans, but we also want to show you how to travel with peace of mind and without risks, as travelling safely is the most important thing to enjoy your trip.

1. Colombia with Alberto Santana (@alberto_ss)

We want to start our trip around the world with Alberto Santana, who we first met on Spanish television and who now shares his entrepreneurial and travelling side on Instagram. We are going to South America, specifically to Colombia to visit the best places in the country. Are you up for it?

We start in Guatapé, a rather touristy municipality in Colombia east of Medellín, where you can visit one of its most famous sites: Piedra del Peñol. Then, get ready to visit Medellín, the city of eternal spring, and marvel at the charm of the capital of Antioquia. After a few days getting to know the city, head north to Cartagena de Indias. Enjoy the paradise that is Colombia's Caribbean coast for a few days, but you'll never want to leave! When you think nothing can surprise you, take a flight to the island of San Andrés, in the Caribbean Sea, and visit Islote Sucre, also known as Johnny Cay, to marvel at its turquoise beaches and white sand.

2. Peru with Cristina (@akkicris89)

Our next trip continues in South America with Cristina, a Spanish lawyer who has been sharing her travels around the world for a few years now, but it all started in Peru, where Cristina spent some time working.

On this occasion, we are going to Cuzco to get to know this marvellous city in the Andes, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. Although it is the gateway to Machu Picchu, you can visit other nearby attractions and places of interest such as Qorikancha, Moray and the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit the city and indulge in the tasty Peruvian food at the Central Market of San Pedro, you'll love it! If you have time, don't forget to visit the rainbow mountain Vinicunca. If you want a more tourist-free and lesser-known option, you can go to Palcoyo.

3. Chile with Sara Caballero (@lamochiladesara)

For the next stop of our trip we continue travelling in South America and now we visit Chile, where Sara Caballero, a content creator specialising in travel and lifestyle, shows us some of the most charming and lesser-known places in the country.

We start our adventure in the O'Higgins region, a land of vineyards where you can stay in a countryside estate, taste the local wines and take part in various activities offered throughout the region, such as visiting the largest automobile museum in the country or going on guided tours and excursions. We continue towards the coast and arrive at Punta de Lobos, an ideal destination all year round both for the beach and to rest and relax by the sea.

In Pichilemu, there are also many activities to do, such as surfing lessons and you can book day trips, like the one Sara did to the Universidad Glacier, where you can take a route through the caves formed by the glacier, making it a unique experience! Finish your itinerary in Santiago de Chile with a few days to explore the city and relax, and if you have a bit more time, visit the Cajón del Maipo and Termas de Colina.

4. Iceland with Alba Paul (@albapaulfe)

For our last stop of this trip we head to Europe with Alba Paul to visit one of the most incredible countries in the world: Iceland. This country seems to be something out of this planet, with its landscapes, its geysers and its thermal lagoons.

Alba and her travel mates took the Golden Circle route, which is Iceland's most popular tour and will take you to many of the country's most popular sights. The best way is to hire a car as many of the sites are not accessible by public transport, but you can also choose to take a private tour. You can start at Thingvellir National Park and marvel at its scenery and geological formations. It's not for nothing that it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004! Along the way you can take a detour at any time to admire the views and see places off the trail, such as the Kerid Crater. Highly recommended!

When you think it's time to move on, head to the Geysir geothermal area, where you'll see impressive fumaroles and vents, as well as the Great Geysir. You'll be left speechless! Next you can head to the Gullfoss waterfall, one of the most breathtaking waterfalls in the country, known for the rainbows it forms when the sun rises.

Afterwards, you can follow the Golden Circle route and continue to see the rest of the stops on the tour, or head down south as Alba did and visit the Sólheimajökull glacier, and impressive waterfalls such as Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. Don't forget to enjoy the capital, Reykjavík, and take a break from all that walking at Blue Lagoon or any of the country's geothermal spas.
