The start of a wonderful Jorney, TURKU, THERE I GO!!
And it was ... at 2:30 in the morning my friend and eternal mate, Alberto Barros, went to my house to start the trip to the airport of the capital city of Spain, Madrid, T4 Barajas. However, from 21:00 I had been hanging around the last time with "trolls" (the name of my group of friends), great time by the way, before I go (pure time gave a spectacular culmination). We settle down in Madrid three hours later I spent the trip asleep from Merida or so to the entrance to the Capital. To get to the airport we had to go first to a parking that allowed to leave the car there for an extended stay and, from there, take a bus to take us to the T4. Except for all the baggage that we had and the time we had to wait, there were no problems. Madrid-Helsinki-Turku with Finnair was made in a really good way with everything on time.
At the airport of Turku, he was waiting there, Niko Varila, who would be our tutor during the stay in Turku. What a cool dude, he greeted us with a "Cómo estás" in Spanish and he gave us our sim card for the mobile phone. Then we took a bus from the airport to take us to the Central Square of Turku or Kauppatori in Finnish. During the trip, I began to observe firsthand and the Finnish landscape that was just as I expected, forest, forest and more forest, lots of greenery in residential areas and over-all clean. We were also talking to Niko about why we chose Finland, what we study, and other personal preferences, the usual go ...
When we got to Kauppatori, we had to go to the bus number 18, which would take us directly to Päivänpaiste (Kataraistientie 1), place where the floor was. Päivanpaiste is in Harittu-Koivula, something like a neighborhood situated at the south of Turku, 6 km from Kauppatori. The area left nothing to be desired, Päivänpaiste is a complex of four buildings belonging to TYS (acronyms mean Finnish Student Village Foundation) where students live mostly and occasionally Finnish families. We have a substantial common garden with a barbecue area, a supermarket and a kioski 150 meters and are surrounded by three forests at least, for anything that comes to mind (as it will).
Once installed on the floor, Niko took leave of us having previously arranged to meet the next day in the morning with him. After that, we went to the supermarket to do the shopping, of course, or at least that was our intention. There were three important facts:
- I swa recycling machines, in which you put your cans and bottles and get paid for it.
- First discussion, trying to decide which kind of oil we should buy.
- As a consequence of this, we met Nuria, the first one spanish thet we saw in Päivänpaist. Apparently, she heard our shouts, came and asked: Excuse me, are you Spanish?
Already available and all finished shopping together, stating that I was invited the first 24 cans Koff (native beer brand) to drink in Finland. After checkout, we are preparing to leave premises when we met at the entrance with two other people (Spanish also) Nuria already knew that. Annie Ferrandiz, which already knew before thanks to the various social networks and Eloy. It may seem odd that a person choose the destination of Erasmus because he likes the music of that country (my case) rather than by other factors, is also curious that the music that dominates the Metal Finland is therefore someone who can is in the same situation as you, you are if you have flats ye see the thing the first Spanish man (man) I know in Turku proves metalhead! I do not remember very well how we started our first conversation but I do remember the best time of it:
- Eloy and I: blabla bla bla bla bla bla blablablabala.
- Eloy: By the way, Korpiklaani??! (Must be wearing the shirt).
- Me: Yeah, I see you too (can not remember if it was his children).
- Eloy: Man, uncle course.
- Me: I feel that you and I are getting along very well.
Here, then, were among all to do something that night, stay at my house to drink beer at the moment.
When we were at my house, someone came up with the crazy idea of apparent go to the forest, so we all agree we set off. We went to one whose "entry" is next to the supermarket. At 12:00 pm, in Finland and in the woods that nobody knows, the most logical thing we could think of was to follow the natural paths of the forest. As we walked, the two girls were a little truth droppings situation accentuated if Eloy and I as good metalheads with blackers concerns, do not say anything but scary things, spooky, spooky, tell stories and presume that all this happened . The culmination of the trip was when going down a road, Eloy and I were delayed on purpose and without being aware of it we hide in the foliage is left on the sides of the road. By the time the other three realize, Eloy and I are already well positioned to give a scare at any time. The time was to be there and listen to the two girls saying please come out and, to finish it this soon, I want to go from here, really, I want to die ... and other nonsense that made Eloy and I feel satisfied. In the end I ended my fishing, since I was already Eloy fatal busted shock, but at least they leave with a scary session for home.
The night ended in my room at about two o'clock, having founded by us Päivänpaiste Power group, writing legal statutes of the same (or at least the first article) and inviting in facebook groups all Erasmus to come here to have some fun sometime.
