Something in General about Travelling in Europe

So this is my first blog post. I've been to many places in Europe, so I feel obligated to share my travelling experience here.

First off, let me talk about means to transport. I personally prefer public transport because I find it labour-saving. I mean, I hate to drive, hate to look for car parks, and hate to get a car fixed when it stops working. That's why I tend to use public transport. Amongst all means of public transport, the most convenient way to travel around Europe, I believe, is to travel by bus. No matter my destination is a big city or a small town, I can always find a bus to get there. And if I miss one bus, I will always be able to catch the next one within 24 hours. Also, bus stations are usually inside the town rather than far away from the town as most airports do. So when I arrive in a new city by bus, I just jump off the bus and walk away to a tourist attraction nearby or to the nearest commercial area for a meal. That's almost impossible for travellers by air. Alright, now let me talk about which bus company I prefer. Previously the cheapest bus was Megabus, but last year it was integrated into Flixbus on the continent, so now Flixbus is amongst the cheapest ones. Flixbus may not be the No.1 cheapest, but it has the largest network, as far as I know, in Europe. It connects almost all the major cities and reaches loads of smaller cities, and it's still expanding its network very fast. Of course every country has its own bus companies that cover plenty of cities inside their country, but when I want to travel across different countries, Flixbus is always my first choice. By the way, I recommend two smartphone apps, Busradar and GoEuro, which help you find buses and routes that fit your needs well.

OK let me stop here today. In my next post, I'll provide more detailed information about travelling by bus in Europe.
