We were a huge group of 18 persons in this trip and not all of us could go at the same time, train or bus. This is why I attach you here more than one schedule for the journey because they are those that some of us took it to reach the places. Well, before anything, I'll give you one important TIP: when you go on a group, make sure to check the group discounts, specially by train, because you can usually get it. Here it goes:

We just took a bus: you can take it in the bus station under the main bridge; in there you can either buy the tickets and take it. I don't remember exactly the price, but I think it was around 8€; well, it was in a budget anyway. There are many buses a few times per day everyday, so you just have to check the schedules. Anyway, for sure, your hostel, hotel o friend in Bratislava will know how to deal with them, how they work etc.

  • Accomodation

Now, I'm going leave you written down some details about the places and hostels that surprised me. Some for the good, some others for the not that good because I was expecting much more from them.

All of this places that I leave you mentioned are in Bratislava or Vienna. This is a trip I did with my Erasmus friends, I will tell you more about that later.

    Vienna

  • Hostel Hutteldorf

Address: Schlossberggasse 8, Vienna 1130, Austria

  • It's a nice hostel, but quite far from the city center.

It's a very good place: the people of reception are very friendly, helpful and can speak perfect English and the breakfast is really tasty. Bad point was that the showers and the bathrooms appeared to be a litle old and aren't working very well. The location is quite far from the city center, however, the indications in the website of the hostel are very clear and, if you pay attenttion and follow all the tips, it's certainly not difficult to get there.

  • Belvedere Palace (Schloss Belvedere)

    Prinz-Eugen-Strasse 27, Vienna, Austria

  • my-reviews-places-bratislava-vienna-3b16 Source

One of the best places in Vienna.

It's the palace and the areas sorrunding that make it so amazing. There's not just the palace that it's beautiful but also the huge garden at the back and in front of it and the really nice lake it has (a thing to mention is that even though we were in winter there still was liquid water inside this one. Something not very likely to find in this season!). In the las Christmas season there were few stars in the lake: it was amazing by day and by night even better! :D

  • Rathaus (New City Hall)

Address: Dr. Karl-Lueger-Ring, Vienna A-1010, Austria

  • Just nice.

It has nothing really special: the garden in front is now not very beautiful and a litle dirty. Since this area was under reconstruction none of it was very good looking.

    Bratislava

    • UFO Observation Deck

Address: Novy Most 1, Bratislava, Slovakia

    • A must see.

If you go to Bratisava, you have to go there and you have to go to the TOILET... Just amazing. You can seat and look at the whole city, you will really enjoy your "bathroom moment".

    • St Elizabeth's / Blue Church

      Address: Bezrucova Street, Bratislava, Slovakia

    • Such a cute church!

An amazing church, one of the "must see" in Bratislava. The blue paint is the curious point of it. It's really like, let's say, a very huge sweet candy.

I hope this post was helpful to you: two very beautiful cities that are a must to visit. They are really close between them, so you can visit them both during the same journey.

And last but not least, here goes a picture from Bratislava!
