Our little family
In an open corridor with 8 people, you get to know each other fast, if everyone is open to it. In my kitchen they were, so we actually ended up with a little family. One German girl, a French boy, a Norwegian guy, a Swedish man, and two Norwegian girls. This was the base of our little family. We used to cook together, or eat together, watch movies during movie nights, have sing offs, karaoke night, and crazy house parties which I will come back to later. As we got further in to the semester, more people started to join from the house, people from the other corridor, and even people from upstairs. We ended up with a family of around 15 people, amazing! This made my erasmus experience even better, the feeling of being together, you can depend on each other, if you have something going on there is always someone to talk to. When you want to do something, there is at least one person that would love to join you. So fishing, hiking and other activities became regular for our "household". The clue to this is opening yourself up to others, it will create a bond, it will help you meet people and people become more open to you as well. It will only benefit your studies and your home life. You will only learn more from each other, from the similarities and the differences.
