Bali has its own characteristics for traveling lovers, the island of the Gods has never run out of beautiful beaches. One of the interesting and visited a lot is the beaches on Nusa Penida.

The island that is separated from Bali has beautiful beaches, rich local culture, tropical forests and mangrove forests that are still lush, all you can feel just by visiting one destination.

If you are in Nusa Penida, be sure to include these 5 activities to enrich your experience in Nusa Penida.

1. Seeing Seaweed Farmers and their fields

Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan were known as seaweed farming areas rather than tourism. As visits to the three islands increasingly crowded, quite a lot of farmers who stop planting seaweed because they switch to the tourism sector.

But seaweed farmers are not yet extinct, until now you can still find seaweed farmers managing their fields located on the coast. Visit Nusa Lembongan, and follow the coastline in the southeast. When you see wooden poles standing in the waters around the coast, then you have found a seaweed field.

No need to bring a swimsuit, because it is forbidden to swim around the field. Instead, chat with the locals and see how they plant, harvest and dry the seaweed.

2. Trekking in the Tembeling Forest

At the southwestern tip of Nusa Penida there is the Tembeling Forest which holds a beautiful spring in the middle. In order to enjoy the beauty, you have to try a little. Prepare yourself for a tiring trip through the forest.

Along the steps through the forest, you can find various flora and fauna. Similarly, views of the canyons and beautiful waterfalls. Then right in the middle of the Tembeling Forest, you will find a spring with an area of about 10 x 8 square meters. The water is clear greenish. This spring is one of the main attractions of trekking in the Tembeling Forest.

3. Pilgrimage to Penataran Temple

Don't miss the religious nuances in Pura Penataran Agung Ped. The exact location is in the village of Ped, Sampalan, Nusa Penida. Local residents usually come to this temple to pray for salvation, welfare and others. While local or foreign tourists, come to see the splendor and beauty.

This temple is arguably one of the largest in Nusa Penida, so it stands out compared to the rest of the island.

4. Visit the Natural Cave at Pasih Uwug (Broken Beach)

Pasih Uwug or also known as Broken Beach, has a beautiful view of a hollow cliff. This fox initially only looked like an ordinary cave. But over time, erosion occurs.

Now what remains is even a beautiful view on a cliff with a hole due to sea water erosion. If you're lucky, you might be able to see stingrays swimming in these coastal waters.

5. Play to the beach in Crystal Bay

This is one thing you should not miss when you are in Nusa Penida. Crystal Bay Beach is the most stunning beach there. You will not be able to forget the white sand, the cliffs around it, to the crystal clear water.

If you are lucky, you can find stingrays or sharks swimming in these waters while snorkeling or playing water. But don't forget that this most beautiful area is also one of the most crowded in the whole island. So it's easy to find the density of visitors here, as well as small shops or cafes.
