Land of unspoken mysteries
My name is Adriana and guess what?
I am an Erasmus student in one of the most important historical countries of the world. Can you guess which one? Well, I will make it easier for you, it has something to do with the Second World War, it is a land of great traditions, lots of churches, vodka and of course, lets not forget the wonderfull and delicious national meals, the most famous being "pierogi". It is clearer?
Yes, you got it right (and even if you didn't it doesn't matter, I would have told you anyway:)))) I am talking about Poland. The next logical question in your mind would be "why did you choose Poland"?
My answer could start with blabbing on about the extraordinary history, the magnificient palaces, the never ending parks, the people who are warm and welcoming, but actually I chose Poland because the cost of living is more affordable than the other countries with which my University "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" from Iasi, Romania has partnerships. O, yes, I am romanian and proud of it!
I arrived in Poland on the 14 th of September 2012 and my journey has been ever since an marvelous mix between facing the unknown and discovering beauty in the most unexpected places. But more on that in my next post, when I will tell you how I got here, how I was homeless and found not a house, but a home and more...
