Hungary, forgotten Ridermachia.
Hungary, forgotten Ridermachia.
Last weekend we spend in Hungary, the country of the old lords of horses. In history this place was inhabited by the great peoples of the steppe - Huns, Awars on Magyars ending. This country in Europe its ends band of great step stretch among all Asia. It was natural that here many of the nomads decide to stay. They so much loved open spaces that for big part of them, further terrain looked less attractive, and they stay. The first of them was Attila lord of Huns, he come here in IV century, the noble families in Hungary recognize in him theirs ancestor. But the main origin of Hungarians they seen in Arriving of Arpad at the forefront of his army in IX century…When you going among the Hungary, you can very fast forget oneself and feel this same feeling which dwellers of this lands, which are at once reminder further Asian spaces.
When you go to Budapest you will see that is surrounded by many hills, still remembering the time of Pannonia district Roman garrisons.
The city is fabulous, his architecture brings to mind, fancy, decorative, ornamental travel boxes or beautiful carved cabinets. All that is orgy of shapes and colors. Builders didn’t waist stones inter alia murmur and granite. The old town is wonderful and very large, so we cannot saw everything in 2 days.
One of places we visited was Saint Stephen Basilica, with big dome, gilded on the inside and with large amount of sculpture aground it. Inside the basilica is also gilded in large part affect is amassing, game of shadows and lights worthy to remember.
Another thing you must notice being there is big amount of stores and shops. Among them this one, which done amazing impression on me and my friends, was small shop where you can find all, connected with the old magaryans traditions. Archery, ladder belts, bags, whips, little boxes, horns, swords, knifes and all that staff you must have to be old medieval Magyar. Everything so magical and beautiful, that we can’t go outside very long, watching all of these things very carefully and listening folk music. It was something hypnotic.

Exidently, in shop we meet a customer from much more distant stepps.
Then we go to museum, where you can find, very nice polish apprentice, which go with and tell us, a lot things about history and Hungarian tradition.
Next day we were at synagogue in Jewish district. One of the buildings there, look like taken from, dream fantasies. It was little market house with big patio. Inside there was a little market with regional products. All scene was gaining charm because between the people strolled through musician with pipes and a man on stilts, that all was little bit fairy.
Trip was successful, we coming back with a slight sense of insufficiency, and with promise of comeback. Looking behind the window we saw large fields, and doubtless in our hearts we felt this same sensation which felt the nomads thousands years ago, before us.
