How to stay calm in Hanoi
With the hustle and bustle of a big city – Hanoi – ranked as the second biggest city in Vietnam and 17thbiggest population in the world, I think we will easily feel overwhelmed if we just give our time freely to unexpected things popping up.
I have some hobbies to stay calm and re-connect with myself.
Walking without responding to the world
No phone or phone without data, a book, a notebook and a pen; prepare those things and go for a walk to the park or an ice tea shop on the street where you don’t know anyone else. Just stay there, stay calm and read. Without re-connecting with your soul once a week, you will feel the emptiness and you seem to live in the responding mode.
Meditation
Mediation in the park is also a good choice
How to re-connect with your soul?
You need to identify the why, the purpose of living. What is your mission in life.
In the morning, when you wake up just think about what you can make contribution in life, who will help today.
Identify 3 most important tasks that you need to complete today to move you towards your mission.
In the evening, going for a walk to recap your whole day. What you would have done better? What you have done? Give yourself credits, learn from it and keep moving on? Just close your eyes and let the wind go through your face and take a deep breathe, you can feel how wonderful life is, how thankful you are to be alive, to live for your purposes.
