The holiday park

The last destination already, Hemsedal. Another wintersport area, which we visited in the summer. However, there was more to do than around Myrkdalen. The holiday park was pretty great, views over the fjords, views over the wintersport area, and forrest. Enough places to make great hikes. The reception was combined with two restaurants, a sports stores and an activity area. It was amazing. Loved this park.

Hemsedal: day 1

We made a hike around the park and in the city, exploring Hemsedal and the park itself. I really loved it here, so much to see and do again. Something I definetely missed in Myrkdalen. The drive to Hemsedal was around 2.5 hours, so quite doable. Since we slept in, day 1 in Hemsedal was not very long.

Hemsedal: day 2

Adventure day! We hiked a bit, and then went to the activity centre at the reception. We informed about what activities were present at the hotel and they offered us tricycling down the mountain. Pretty sweet! We had to wait until one group was back, then measured which tricycle was best suitable and fitting for us, and off we went. Dragging the tricycle up to the skilift. They parked the tricycles in the machine and we sat down. I am personally a bit afraid of hights, especially when it comes to sitting in a lose cart on a skilift. So that ride up the hill was scary, we checked out which tracks we would have to take with the tricycles, there were special tracks made for this, accompannied by special signes. At the top, a little anxious, but exited, we started. No peddling, only braking and steering. Wauw, what an adrenaline rush, it was LIT! Damn, I wish I could do this again. It was amazing. Tricycling down the mountain. However, at one point the tricycle path and a mountainbike route crossed each other, and I almost hit a mountaincyclist! But it ended up well, no-one got hit or hurt, no worries. This is definetely a must do when at Hemsedal!

Hemsedal: day 3

Last day already, last hike in Norway. It was a very rainy day unfortunately, however, that did not make the hike less pretty. We spotted some more cows, conquered wheater, petted some sheep, hiked through forrest, on mountain plateaus, climbed some steep hills on muddy paths and walked in rural areas. It was amazing, a great last hike in Norway!
