History

- Built in 1886, and opened in December 1886

- The architectural style described as resembling Notre Dame de Paris

- The church was one of the first structures built by the French colonial government in Indochina

- It is the oldest church in Hanoi

- A ritual ceremony dedicated to Jesus Christ is held in this cathedral every year on March 19
