Before leaving my country behind I had certain things to consider carefully: see, back in Europe you are allowed to run around wild and free wearing frivolous clothing at night, especially if you are about to get lost in the moment by getting outrageously liquored-up.
But what to wear among foreigners who assume that you are a lustful cockmonster from a far away land with the mission of seducing one of the treasured sons of their country?
Though question indeed. At the beginning, I had these silly ideas about wearing a burqua in public and I nearly got hysterical for not being able to take my denim shorts with me. Since a checked baggage for the round trip would have cost me a fortune, I decided to grab my lovely suitcase instead, in which I am allowed to carry my belongings up to 10kg.
In fact, Istanbul is considered as one of the most welcoming cities in Turkey (besides İzmir) when it comes to cultural differences, therefore you are allowed to dress as you please, as long as you do not appear as a pale prostitute seeking for trouble. From what I have heard/read, do wear pretty dresses and skirts long enough to cover all the body parts you would prefer not to put up for sale and do not make direct eye contact with men unless it is inevitable. Turkish people are very adorable and friendly but if you make them believe that you are cheap and ready to play with, they most likely will treat you that way.
I have got a wardrobe crammed full of clothes but still nothing to wear.
