Games for students to discover Hanoi
If you are going to organize an activity for your students in Hanoi, here are some ideas for organizing the trip.
Playing games would be one of the best ways to let students learn and understand about Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general.
1. Ice break
- 1 person says his or her name and the country that he or she loves to visit/ their hometown
- Next person will repeat the previous person then tell their name and their favourite country
- Keep going following the circle
2. Competition
- The best moment of the trip
- The best self-fie posted and vote on face book page
3. “Journey to the World of Hanoians"
- Ask students to fill the name of all visited places on the map of Hanoi
4. Guessing games
- Photos of interesting places/food
- Students guessing
5. Organic shop hunters

5. Guessing games with hints
- Hints about the places (information)
- Students Guessing
6. Bingo
- Create a table with some columns: Country, movies, people (famous), things, animals, food, songs, cities, etc.
- Divide the group into small groups (2 to 3 people each)
- One letter in the alphabet will be randomly chosen
- Each group has to fill up the tables with nouns starting with the chosen letter
- The group finishes first will say ‘Stop’ so that all groups have to stop
- If you have same answers, you only have 50 points, you have unique answers, and you have 100 points
(Noted: Dries tried this game before and he loved it ^^ his team won)
7. Team building when campfire
- Singing or dancing competition
- One group finishes with one word
- Act out the images then others guess
8. Vietnamese testing
